MATERIALS

Sm amount White Worsted Weight Yarn
40 faceted beads
Size G Hook
Coated Elastic Band

Before crocheting,  thread beads onto yarn.  If the beads won't slide on easily or your yarn isn't cooperating,  try a dab of glue on the end of the yarn to stiffen it and make it more like a needle point.

Join yarn with sc to band, work 40 sc around band, join with sl st to first sc.  Ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same st, *ch 1 [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in next sc],  Repeat from * around, ch1 and join with sl st to top of ch 3.  DO NOT FASTEN OFF.

EDGING:  Sl st to first ch 2 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, ch 1, sl st around a bead, ch 3, sc in next ch 1 sp, ch 1, sl st around a bead, ch 3, sc in next ch 1 sp.  Repeat around with a bead in each space.  Join with sl st to first sc and fasten off.

Weave in ends.

Experiment with different size beads and colors.  These are a lot of fun to make and are a hit with girls of all ages!
